How to Use this Site

Job Search

All current UK job vacancies are listed on the Thales Career website. To access current vacancies relevant to your skills and requirements, you can use the drop down menus to refine and click; Search.

Job Search retunrs a list of vacancies that match your search criteria. To voew the full job description, move your cursor over the job title and click.

NB: your search can be as focused or general as you wish.

Apply with My Career Page Account (see below), and
Apply on-line

You will be asked to agree to a Data Privacy Statement, and then follow the on screen instructions :

Questionnaire
Attach Free Form cover letter
Attach your CV
Submit Application
Create My Career Page Account

My Career Page Account

My Career Page is your own password protected area within the Thales Careers website. There are 3 reasons to have a Career Page Account:

You can view and update your profile which is visible to the Thales Resourcing Team,
You can track any applications you may have in progress,
When applying for a vacancy, click: Apply With My Career Page, and this will enable you to use your information as stored on the system as opposed to uploading your details every time.

General Application

You can create a General Application on the system, which enables you to register your details for consideration against new vacancies as they arise.

A General Application can be used if you do not see a suitable vacancy advertised or if you wish to register online.

NB: Thales Resourcing Team recommend that you create a General Application in addition to Job applications and/or Job Alerts as it enables us to assist you more proactively.

Creating a General Application

Once you have clicked on the General Application link, you will be asked to agree to a Data Privacy Statement, and then the application process begins.

As with Job Applications, follow the on screen instructions through these stages( these may vary subject to the role you are applying for):

Personal Information
Questionnaire
Attach Free Form cover letter
Attach your CV
Submit Application
Create My Career Page Account

The Questionnaire

Within the application process, we need to ask you a few questions to understand more about you, e.g. current employer, current role, key skills, roles of interest, how far would you commute, relocation, your contact details, etc.

This information allows us to evaluate your application effectively.

Uploading your CV

The CV is an attachment to your profile, and therefore most formats are acceptable ? Microsoft Word, PDF etc. ? documents are limited to 2 MB

Again we need your CV to evaluate your application effectively, so make sure it accurately reflects your skills and experience. Ideally it should be no longer than 2-3 pages.

Your General Application

You will receive confirmation that your General Application has been received successfully.

Once we have been notified of your General Application, we can consider your details against future vacancies and contact you directly if your profile is suitable.

Creating A Job Alert

Go to Create Job Alert and create several create Job Alerts based on your requirements i.e. Skill, Location, etc

Enter your desired email address for delivery and this need not be your work address.
You can choose the frequency with which alerts are delivered and the timescale over which you wish to receive Job Alerts.
You may create as many Job Alerts as you wish.
Job Alert automatically emails you any roles matching the search criteria you highlight.
Job Alerts can be activated and deactivated easily.
